The Dispute Resolution (Mediation and Arbitration) Department, headed by adv. Yigal Borochovsky, has extensive experience in handling complex cases in all areas of civil-commercial law.
The department provides services to companies, government offices, banks, local authorities, families and family businesses in all the firm’s areas of practice, and specifically in commercials and land matters, banking and financing, class actions, family law and the intergenerational complex.
In 2022 and 2023, head of the department, adv. Yigal Borochovsky, was acknowledged by Chambers and Partners, the leading global legal ranking guide, as one of Israel’s five leading lawyers in the mediation and arbitration practice area and was praised for his reputation in the field. In addition, the lucrative ranking guide Dun’s 100 selected adv. Yigal Borochovsky one of Israel’s eight leading mediators between the years 2000 and 2003.
Adv. Yigal Borochovsky has gained a wealth of experience conducting hundreds of mediations and arbitrations. His practical, legal and commercial knowledge enable him to fairly and efficiently handle complex commercial cases, such as mediation and arbitration in class action lawsuits, commercial disputes, disputes involving large scale real estate projects, etc. The majority of cases referred to our department for mediation end with a successful agreement accepted by both parties to the dispute, oftentimes in a single mediation meeting.

The firm’s founding partner and head of the department, adv. Yigal Borochovsky, has served as Chief Legal Advisor, Deputy CEO and a member of the senior business management of Discount Mortgage Bank, and later as senior partner at Salomon, Lipschütz & Co. Adv. Yigal Borochovsky’s vast experience has been gained through the handling of hundreds of land, initiation and combination transactions, purchase groups, banking class actions, and representation of some of Israel’s business entities in complex court proceedings.
Adv. Yigal Borochovsky serves as the chairman of the Israel Mediators Organization, co-chairman of the Israel Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution Forum, and as acting chairman of the National Banking Committee of the Israel Bar Association. Previously, adv. Yigal Borochovsky has served as the acting chairman of the Courts Committee of the Israeli Bar Association, Tel Aviv district, and as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Appointment of Judges in the Tel Aviv District. Adv. Borochovsky is frequently appointed as a mediator and an arbitrator by the Israeli courts, by chambers of commerce, by the Israel Bar Association, and by the disputing parties themselves. Adv. Yigal Borochovsky also serves as an arbiter in various institutions (including the Israeli Institution of Commercial arbitration, founded by the late Prof. Samdar Ottolenghi).
